    Hi there,

    Apologies for the late reply.

To search text in a drawing you can use the Auto-Count function. We have done a CostX Coffee Break presentation on this, which you can view here- https://youtu.be/Lfw05B8UALw

    Hope this helps!

    Kind regards,

    Hi,

Thank you for posting on the student forum.

Yes, you will most likely need to apply for a new serial license with your academic email here: https://education.itwocostx.com/support/forum/educational-request/

In the meantime, could you kindly send a screenshot of the error you encountered to me at atsoi@exactal.com so that I can take a better look?

    Thanks again.

    Hi Queenie,

    Thank you for your post.

To help find a solution, we might need more information to figure out what the issue is.

Can you kindly provide details of the import template or building/model map you used, and also confirm which YouTube tutorial you referred to? (if possible, provide the URL too)

Thank you and we look forward to further assisting you.

    Hello Kristie,

    Thank you for your enquiry.

There may be occasions whereby you see multiple drawings appear in the drawing windows as shown in the screen shot below.

    1) Click the CostX start button => CostX Options
    2) Click Drawings (in the left-hand panel)
    3) In the drop down for Graphics Drivers, change this from OpenGL 2.0 to Direct3D and click OK

    4) Restart CostX and log back into your building.

Resolution: There may be times where the OpenGL driver may require to be upgraded to a newer version and changing this to use a different driver should resolve the issue.

    Hi Oliver,

    Thanks for your email.

An educational serial can only ever be activated once, on one computer. Simply apply for a new serial at the following link – https://education.itwocostx.com/support/forum/educational-request/ then run CostX again with your new serial.

Thank you and hope this helps!

    Thank you for your post.

    Please see below solutions:

    1. Make sure Windows Updates is up to date and restart machine after installation;
    2. Try to upgrade graphic card driver;
    3. In CostX, click CostX logo -> CostX Options -> Drawing -> Change Graphics Drivers setting to Direct3d 9.0c and restart CostX.

    Hi [X],

    Thank you for your post.

Educational license cannot allow the user to export the file from CostX. So you need to apply for a new one on this web: https://education.itwocostx.com/support/forum/educational-request/

    Hope this Helps!

    Hi,

    Thank you for your post.

One serial number can only be activated for once, so you cannot transfer the license from one laptop to another. You need to re-apply for a new one with your academic email on this web: https://education.itwocostx.com/support/forum/educational-request/

    Hope this Helps!

    Hi Denis,

You mentioned you would like to have a direct download to fix the software. Can you please advise what kind of problem you meet? And you mentioned you have paid for CostX, I would like to know if you can send us the serial number of CostX you have?

    Kind regard,
