Unfortunately, there is no way to recover your work once the license has been expired, and it should be noted that students should re-apply for a new serial no. before the expiry of their current one has passed.
As such, please apply for a new serial no. for the following academic year at this link – https://education.itwocostx.com/support/forum/educational-request/

Thanks for your message. Apologies for the inconvenience. We do note the expiry date on the application form and also the activation email sent out, so generally what we recommend is that students export any work before the expiry date so they are able to apply for a new copy and continue working on their project.
Considering your licence has already expired and it is too late for you to do this, we have extended your licence as a one-off to allow you to continue to work on your assignment.

To gain a better understanding of your issue, could you check and advise if there are any security applications that would be blocking access to remove the files when uninstalling?

This workbook must contain some bad data. Can you please try clicking on the drop-down menu beside reference (little red book) -> then click verify workbook consistency to fix bad data before you can generate a report.

Indeed, new projects cannot be created in the Educational version. Only the default project can be used and is in the database at installation.

Primarily, there are two common reasons for this error. Firstly, you should check if the iTWO costX Database service is running. Open your Services windows and scroll down to “iTWO costX Database” and check the Status. If it is not running, right click and select “Start”. If you have done this and still get the unable to connect to the database error, then this may be due to a firewall or antivirus software assuming that iTWO costX is a malware. In this case, you will need to either add the Exactal program folder to the AV exclusions list of disable the AV scan and run iTWO costX installer again to repair iTWO costX services.
If this does not work, if you could try reinstalling iTWO costX (the same version) over the top of your current installation (without uninstalling anything) this should hopefully add the services back on the machine.
