    Hi Student,

    Kindly please note that the update of the database is not available on the educational version. please ren-install with the same serial number . You will need to uninstall earlier version/or earlier CostX that has old license and during uninstallation it will ask to Keep the database you will have to select NO to it.
    Educational licenses cannot be activated if your earlier database is still there as it will have the old license, you need to have a fresh/blank database to activate the new license.

    Hi ,

    Due to different antivirus have different UI and settings, so there can’t be a single set of steps applicable to all.

    users can google this up accoring to their Antivirus and set exceptions for the below folders-

    C:\Program Files\Exactal\

    By default, all licenses are set to expire on the 30th June for institutes based in the Northern hemisphere. The year of expiration is relative to the when you submitted the application.

    For example, if you are based in the Northern hemisphere and you applied for a license in December 2023 or June 2024, in both cases your license will expire 30th June 2024. When your license has expired, you can simply reapply again at https://education.itwocostx.com/support/forum/educational-request/assuming that you are still enrolled as a student. .

    Hi ,

    Thank you for your post.

    In this case, you will need to either add the RIB program folder to the AV exclusions list, disable the AV scan and run RIB CostX® installer again to repair RIB CostX® services.

    If the problem still exist, you are suggested to contact your IT assistant to gain access.
