Recieving error messge

Afternoon

I am using CostX, my dimension group are showing as abbreviated, (I tried to add a Screen shot but  cannot upload it here) i have tried to drag the curser across to the write, but will not allow. i receive a message “The Parameter is incorrect” I have tried to add a new Building and the same thing, the Dimension groups appear in abbreviation, and same message appears, i have exported the CostX working file and it reads correctly in CostX Viewer, i worked through with the teaching team to no avail, they have suggested to uninstall and reinstall the software, but are concerned that i will not be able to reinstall with the same Serial Number on my computer, please advise if i can reinstall and if my Serial Number will work on this computer, Or please provide any other suggestions to rectify this situation.
