Activation & Licensing Costx service not started

      I’m facing an issue installing CostX on my personal Windows laptop and would appreciate any help.

       

      During installation/upgrade, the CostX Upgrade Utility runs and shows that the software is already at the latest version. However, I then get the following error messages:

       

      “The following services that CostX requires are not started: CostX Core”
      “The following services need to be restarted: CostX Core”
      When prompted to start the service, it fails even when selecting Yes

       

       

      I’ve tried:

       

      Running the installer and upgrade utility as Administrator
      Restarting the laptop
      Re-running the CostX Upgrade Utility
      Checking Windows Services, but CostX Core does not start properly

       

       

      This is on a personal laptop (not managed by IT), and I do have admin access. The software appears installed, but CostX will not launch due to the Core service not running
